André Akkari (born December 28, 1974) is a Brazilian professional poker player. He is a member of Team PokerStars Pro Brazil and is the winner of the 2011 World Series of Poker $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event.[1]
It has been an exciting couple of weeks for Brazilian poker pro Andre Akkari, highlighted, of course, by his fifth-place finish out of 1,682 in the PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event. The 2011 World Series of Poker $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em champion is Andre Akkari, from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Akkari is a 36-year-old professional poker player. He has won an estimated $2.2 million in online poker tournaments alone. Akkari was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil – which is the nation’s largest city. Akkari is married.
He is the co-owner of FURIA Esports, a Brazilianesports team.[2]
